First Amendment Mean To You? Assignment #4.

1. Blog post  - What does the First Amendment mean to you? How does it affect your life?

We live in such a free country. Many people would die to just come here. I come from a Vietnamese family. We were immigrants. Every day when I wake up I always mention to myself that I am very fortunate to have a chance to live here. The First Amendment mean freedom, freedom of speech, the right to vote, assemble and the right to protest. These are one of the many options that I have, compared to families or teens like myself in other countries, ruled by Communism. I stand here as a American. Even though I am not old enough to vote. Yet I still try to excise my first amendment by joining the student Gov. and Journalism. We still try to keep the principle of these rights when we govern ourself as a group or  a club.
